Beyond the serenity of the Ducktrap, a myriad of activities await you. A short distance down the coast, the lovely harbors of Rockland, Rockport, and Camden await. You will find unique shops and galleries to browse; museums to wander such as the Farnsworth Art Museum, home of the Wyeth Gallery and the Owls Head Transportation Museum with displays of antique autos and planes.

Outdoor enthusiasts will find historic Windjammer fleets, sailing, swimming, fishing, golfing, and biking adventures. Take a ferry to North Haven, Vinalhaven, or Islesboro- all are ideal for exploring by car, bike, or foot.

Spend the day visiting our famous lighthouses, there are seven to see within a day's drive.

If you need an escape from the many activities, just a short walk from your door lies the quiet shoreline of the Ducktrap Beach. Here you can swim, kayak, beach-comb for shells and sea-glass or just relax in the sun while watching the sails in the distance.
As your day comes to an end, midcoast Maine offers many fine dining restaurants, theaters, concerts, and nightclubs.
