Testimonials

My husband and I have just returned from another relaxing stay at the Ducktrap Motel. Every time we arrive, we are impressed by the continual upgrades. This trip revealed new heating/air conditioning units which are totally quiet. But the biggest surprise was the addition of a beautiful new fire pit on the spacious front lawn. Across from the ocean and in close proximity to Camden and other larger towns, this property offers travelers a calm and beautiful location. Luxurious towels and spa quality toiletries also show that owners Reesa and Scott truly care about their guests. Can't wait to go back!

Such an awesome place to pull off and stay or just stay a week or 2, right in front of the beach. Scott plays a wicked guitar!!!!

I needed a place to stay while driving back to Massachusetts after a trip up the Maine coast. The room was incredibly clean and inviting, not to mention very reasonably priced. The owner was very generous and welcoming even taking the time to walk me to my room and show me around. Not only is there coffee but I also got to have a nice cup of hot chocolate before bed. They have added all the small touches you don't get staying at a chain like games, books, and popcorn. If you are looking for a place to stay in the mid coast region I highly recommend staying at the Ducktrap Motel. Thanks again!

Owners were super gracious. Allowed us to see a room and cabin before making a choice. The room was all we needed. The cabin had a kitchenette we didn't need, but still nice. Room was clean, sheets and bath linens were so soft. Grounds well kept. Reasonable prices. WiFi was fast. Loved it. We will stay here again on future trips.

A few friends and I stayed here while attending the Camden International Film Festival. We were greeted and welcomed so warmly! The three of us all felt so comfortable and relaxed in this adorable motel. The room was so clean, and I loved how hospitable Reesa was when showing us the room and pointing out all of the amazing essentials that made us feel at home. The prices were affordable (especially for us students), and festival was a quick 10 minute drive. That Maine hospitality is hard to beat! Thank you!

Stopped at the Ducktrap Motel for a night. What a GREAT place to stay. Reesa (the owner) took us to our room and explained how everything worked. Both windows were open, so the wonderful fresh air came thru our room. I was so impressed with how clean everything was and decorated so nicely. The quaintness impressed me. At night we sat around a campfire while Scott (Reesa's husband) sang. We all talked about our travels. Wonderful place to stay! This 14 room motel rates #1 in our book.

Scott and Reesa, the owners, love this place and it shows everywhere on the property. Our favorite places all have one thing in common, the owners are present and care about their property and business. Our three day stay was more than expected in comfort, cleanliness, and quiet. The room had windows that opened and the ocean breeze is unbeatable. Great location and homey. We will be back. And Scott, thanks for your great singing and playing.

Just a minute north of Lincolnville Beach, off Route 1, Maine. Balm for the soul., quiet and convenient! Large, quiet, charming, airy, immaculate, homey, upgraded, 50's style motel rooms and suites, with lots of natural light. All accommodations have a/c (although we often did not need it) cable tv, free wi fi, fridges, ceiling fans, microwaves, coffee machines, cross ventilation, and very comfortable seating. The fridges even have freezers. We were able to lounge on the couch, with the open screened windows and doors cooling us. The room was filled with the smells of salt water, pines and newly cut grass, and the sounds of birds singing. The hosts are lovely, welcoming people. The suites feel like homes. Lovely touches, such as Bath and Bodyworks toiletries, sweet quilts, and listening to the sounds of the owner rehearsing with his acoustic guitar, on the grass made this a special place.

Other reviewers have described the property well. Beds were very comfortable; bathrooms spotless; location just far enough from Camden to provide peace and quiet but still easy access. While there I experienced a multi-day medical emergency. Scott and Reesa's attention to our very special needs went well beyond their "job description." Simply put, they are angels! PS -- Don't miss Scott's band at the Whale's Tooth on Friday night -- My husband and daughter loved it!

My family, including 2 toddlers, stayed here July 25th through 28th. The room was spacious enough for the 4 of us and still left room for the kids to play. The land is well maintained. The owners are very friendly and provided a wealth of knowledge for eating locations and places to go around the motel. The kids had plenty of room to run and play. Overall a great experience at the Ducktrap Motel.
